I think it would make sense for a number of the characters to start hunting each other before the end. Like by the middle of day 2 or start of day 3, I feel more characters should have snapped and try to save themselves. I guess in a way that's what the moonscorching is.

I agree to an extent, non-playable O'saa tries to kill anyone he sees til you save him, but when playing as him you can buddy up as early as possible. I feel the NPC versions hunting people could just as easily be explained as them getting desperate and scared towards the end.

They're very different games with different feels. 1's difficulty ends when you have a grasp of the basics and successfully save one time, max difficulty is a meme mode. It's like a ps1 survival horror game in structure and ideal approach.
2 is more like a goofy Silent Hill Anime JRPG than a conventional sequel. The characters feel more distinct and some of the possible builds are actually enjoyable, but it's simultaneously easier and somehow more punishing, since getting a run going takes a lot longer and can be fucked just as easily. Max difficulty in 2 was no fun at all. It feels more like a JRPG than and not like a survival horror. It's overambitious and consequently can feel pretty shallow.
If you're going to play 1, I recommend getting Anon's mod. Fixed a lot of bugs, typos, and such.
If you're going to play 2, I recommend playing as Marcoh with an evasion build and lockpicking.

Yep. If you've played any old Survival Horrors, it's best to look at the game like that. Combat is mostly just a risk that can/will eat resources. Best to only do it if you have to, if you can benefit from doing it, and/or if you're well enough off that the risk is gone.

It changes a lot. In the vanilla game, it allows you to make love to the girl at the ritual circles. It doesn't add a CG, it's sprite animations like when you marry the other characters. When done with the girl, it takes some of her sanity to boost yours instead of fusing your characters like normal.

It adds a unique ending where you can leave the dungeon without going insane.

It makes it so you can play as the girl. She can do just about everything the other heroes can, but she still keeps the same stats and equipment restrictions. She also cannot do ending B, if you go to the gauntlet it will always be ending A. You can even play as her in Dungeon Nights mode (she can also be romanced in the same mode.)

You can also play as Le'garde if you save him in time and allow him to lead the party.

The mod fixes a lot of exploits that make the game easier, to be honest. Stuff like possible multiple draws of empty scrolls at bookshelves or spots that let you gather an infinite amount of lucky coins and stuff, but to be honest those are crutches to begin with. As a strong tip to beginners, if you know a coin flip attack is coming, just defend with your main character and you should win the coin flip automatically.

Yes, some enemies have instant kill abilities, although those are mainly bosses. Some enemies can also dismember you, but you can also dismember them before they can dismember you. For example, there is an enemy with a big meat cleaver who uses the meat clever to chop your arms off. Solution? Attack the arm holding the meat cleaver. Most other enemies that can dismember you have similar logical ways to stop them.

Some items prevent limb loss like arm guards and leg guards. There is also a spell that causes monsters to aggro on a different party member. For most of the early game enemies though, you're better off just avoiding them. Almost all of them are visible on the screen and have a sight mechanic, so just wait until their backs are turned and walk past them. This allows you to find stronger equipment as well as allies to make managing enemies easier.

Yes you can. Mod comes with links to a decypter you can use, you can also find them online. After that you can buy (or pirate) RPGmaker MV then you will be able to edit the game. Click on "tools" then "database" and then go to the "types" tag and then find the "equipment types" column and click on change maximum to give yourself as many accessory slots as you want.

No, but willingness is not required for to satisfy gro-goroth's demands or the human hydra's hunger. For marriage, the goal isn't the protagonist's sexual gratification it is the completion of a specific ritual and in order for the ritual to be completed both participants need to be willing. This is why there is no option to rape Ragnvaldr or Le'garde or anybody else if they say no.

You make the hydra happy, isn't that enough? :) Like I said, the motivation is different. For the hydra, you goal is to meet his demand for food and doesn't not require the participant to be willing. For the marriage, the goal is to complete a ritual that requires the participant to be willing. The protag isn't trying to have sex to feel good, it's to do the ritual.

A better example would be the temple of torment. In order to summon the tortured one, you have to sacrifice someone and oddly nobody objects if you choose them to be subjected to a slow and agonizing death. Maybe miro just didn't feel like coding in the characters defending themselves? I think in Termina the characters actually do object to being sacrificed but you can still fight and overpower them to sacrifice them by force.

True, it's another example of none of the characters putting up any sort of fight, but I didn't use it because you can't do it to her. These kinds of situations should've triggered a battle, but instead they're just like "guess I'll just die then".
Even sylvian blowing you up is only marginally better considering the setting and gods involved. Doubt extremely twisted ancient gods in medieval times that let guards go down on dogs would give a single shit about modern sensibilities. It's why in the mod it just didn't do anything, because sylvian didn't take it as true consent, the girl didn't have the sexual inclinations yet that even a dog would have.

No, you don't get the option to do this with any of the other heroes or recruitable characters so I left it that way for consistency (otherwise I'd have to script every single map to make all the heroes impregnable with a demon baby and that would take hours.) The script for creating a demon baby is incredibly tedious because it isn't a common event, each monster that can leave a corpse in the entire game has it's own personal script for making a demon baby and if you change one you have to change ALL of them.

I assume that this is why the demon seed spell doesn't appear in Termina, changes to it are too time consuming for what is already be a long project.

The emergence of Sulphur however means the stage is set for a three-way holy conflict between rivaling pro-humanity deities. Logic wants to consume everyone, the GoF&H wants everyone to continue using their hunger and misery as fuel for their journey, and Sulphur wants to punish humanity and make everyone suffer for eternity. Despite everything, she's still humanity's best bet.

It's not an RPGmaker related problem, it's simply a matter of how many sprites there are. A simple "walk up, walk down, walk right, walk left" sprite sheet uses twelve sprites, three for each direction you can walk in. The sprite count starts expanding the more things you can have them do. The bigger spritesheets are 8 x 12 sprites, for a total of 96 sprites. The girl has two of these large sprites representing various things she can do, and even more in the mod to represent other things she can do. I haven't counted but I think the girl has at least 600 sprites, so modding all of them would be kind of a pain.

That's not to say it's impossible, just time consuming. Peppino from Pizza Tower has over 5000 sprites, and people still make mods with him.

I was referring mainly referring to making a demon baby with a dead girl. You see on every map, there are a collection of hero corpses that will be teleported to your location if a hero in your party dies. Making an edit to one hero corpse would require me to edit the other hero corpses in the other maps as well and Fear and Hunger has dozens of maps. For simple stuff like walking there is a common spritesheet she uses which is easier to change. I think you'd be better off using those sprite edits to make lewd sprite animations.

You could basically just call LonaRPG Fear and Hunger with actual porn in it. The porn isn't actually very gross, but it's super easy to get Lona dirty (as in covered in dirt and blood), so clean sex is hard to get if you're getting your shit kicked. That being said, the fetishes present can be toggled on and off and scat's disabled by default. Think parasites are too? I know peeing is enabled at the start. Overall, the difficulty is on par with F&H's in that most of the difficulty mainly comes from learning how to survive and make enough money to progress. After that, it's getting used to the combat, which is in real-time. Early on, I'd suggest hiring an adventurer from the bar to help you tackle killing quests until you're better equipped. Also put points into survival or whatever so you can actually find more food in the wilderness and make food yourself. Practice combat against boars since they have easy AI (but also hit like a truck, so be careful). The meat you get from them will also help a ton too.

It's never explicitly said to the protagonist, it has to be deduced by some rather out of the way info.
