If the game gets pulled out of itch.io he said he will put it on torrent/some custom hosting (for free) until he figures out what's next. I believe that he will because he did something similar the last time the game was delisted. He doesn't depend on it as his primary income, it's more of a passion/venting project. Meaning the progress is glacial, but also that he won't ditch it in face of any hardships.
