Harley's aesthetic ruin begun in Arkham games, actually. Asylum's outfit would have been fine if it was one-off nurse cosplay, but then they just didn't return her to her traditional outfit and built on the Asylum look instead in City and Knight. The 2011 Harley's comic book redesign was pretty much copy of her Arkham look.
