Are you watching the easiest "Superbeginner" videos? I would be surprised if you really have know idea what they're saying at all. But, yes, that's sort of what you're supposed to do. You're supposed to pay attention to the video and focusing on understanding the gist without focusing on the particulars of the language. Like in >>214045660, you might not understand the words she's saying, but you understand that asking where the toilet is from the context (her visible discomfort, the large drawing of a toilet floating next to her head, etc.). Over time, you'll have an easier time picking out words. Look at the definition of the different levels on your progress page and it will describe different levels of understanding.

And do keep in mind that even in the Superbeginner video section, not all the videos are of equal difficulty. Some are much easier than others. And if you're not paying for the premium videos, you'll quickly run through the easiest of the free videos.
