as someone that actually really likes 12 today as an adult, i remember having a huge beef with vaan as a kid, right from the moment they revealed his gay ass crop top art, and i didn't like 12 as much as i should have because of it. for me, it was the first FF game that i didn't totally felate and go nuts for, so it marked the beginning of the decline. FF13 raped my dog and burnt my house down. i'd never been so upset at an FF game. sold my whole PS3 and the game for like $100 the day after i rolled credits and never purchased another FF game or console again to this day.
