Have any oldfags here been particularly successful in keeping up their online friendships? I was heavily involved in scanlation in the early 2010s and I got to meet a bunch of really fun and interesting weirdos via that. Inevitably I started drifting away from them after I quit doing scans and stopped watching anime so much. We had a great resurgence in activity during lockdown (one of my few nice memories of that period) but, again, we started to drift away from each other gradually once life got back to normal. At this point it's only a couple of very close people I still talk to. I'm not complaining about it - I think it's the natural way of things. But I do miss a few of these fujos from the old days.
