Kamille in zeon is actually super based. I think the games have a really good take on what exactly would happen to him. I can't imagine family standing by and doing nothing when in ZZ he constantly kept trying to get into suits despite mental capabilities being reduced.

Kamille probably isn't used to getting such things going from him parents ignoring him to orphan and char probably realizes this much like he's gone through the same things.
I really like the interactions between them in the games especially because kamille doesn't really take shit from char and calls him out on his bullshit. I think even if you erase the ending of zeta and ZZ and just go through the movie's ending to where kamille didn't experience any of that and he remains a pilot. Have any oldfags here been particularly successful in keeping up their online friendships? I was heavily involved in scanlation in the early 2010s and I got to meet a bunch of really fun and interesting weirdos via that. Inevitably I started drifting away from them after I quit doing scans and stopped watching anime so much. We had a great resurgence in activity during lockdown (one of my few nice memories of that period) but, again, we started to drift away from each other gradually once life got back to normal. At this point it's only a couple of very close people I still talk to. I'm not complaining about it - I think it's the natural way of things. But I do miss a few of these fujos from the old days.

Don't get me wrong I liked it but I liked in the way I liked visual prison. It's the type of show you sit around with your friends and you bullshit, drink, and talk shit about rather than actually watching it for enjoyment or plot.

I check it again, no one was surprised when Wreck announced his target (though it could be case when anata/you/他/她 sound like they are pointing at either Moon or Nice). The off-script part is when Wreck jumped up to attack Nice instead of stabbing Moon like they had planned. Basically Wreck wants to drag things out to have a conversation with Nice otherwise he can't contact him, and that's reasonable because once Moon is dead, their act is also deemed as finished.

Like I said, out of context that scene is a good fujobait. The artstyle in general appeals to me a lot. the lip shapes are what makes their faces honestly. The smirks and smiles are great no matter who the character. I should try to take some notes on them. I really like older character design. It's not that i dislike modern designs but they're often more detailed and have more 'curvy' lines than modern animation. I can take the zeta movies for this exactly. The redone scenes are nice but it's just not the same characters. This series still has a manga look and techniques to it that modern series don't have. they're too clean and focused on saving money and cheaper workflow than a superior product. This varies by studio but i wish we had less choice sometimes.

the lips and hair is a lot of the charm in these designs especially in the lighter haired characters.

Yeah, I didn't even dislike the designs that much at first I thought they looked serviceable enough for updated designs but the general direction of the show is just quite souless despite the bigger budget and the sleeker designs make it worse somehow. It's like they made a conscious effort to rid the show of any texture.
Strangely the one redesign I find myself the most unable to forgive is Hilda (who probably hasn't been introduced yet where you're at) going from Queen Diana in an 80s suit to normal short haired girl you could find in any office. What a downgrade. But maybe I'm just a sucker for the 80s.
