probably after S5 when the show became more storydriven, which created a dissonance between the more SoL laidback episode S1 to 5 and the more plot focus S6 to 10. F&C is just picking up the slack of the later season, and most people complaining that the show changed so much after S5 either still have attachment to the slice of life seasons, or just couldn't stop whining about a show they stop watching years ago.
