I'm genuinely altruistic (possibly a bit autistic too). The reward itself is the knowledge that I helped someone even if it's miniscule.
You're correct with the power argument, but I must also say that many people, if not most people, are easily swayed by those who you described.
Therefore some people will eventually be confused about what this is currently about and have genuine questions about child abuse and its connections. Clearing things up should thus be a goal to shed light on the topic you wrote, that some people do it for the sake of control and nothing else.

That's very interesting. Where I live, creep/stalker still has a lot of value but words like nazi and such have indeed lost all of its worth.

You're right. They always had power. Look no further than names. Your parents grant you a word that you will carry for the rest of your life, even if you change it later for example.
