I don't know anything about the people who made PWH, but considering they're all redditors, I'm going to guess it's a reaction to Nixon slowly being regarded more positively by people online, the Nixon Foundation working overtime to make him appear cool and unfairly maligned, etc. Some people online have an absolutely vitriolic hatred for Nixon, and the little bit of praise he's getting now has driven them completely insane.
