Kodaka really hit it off in China with HL's release, they latched onto the main yaoi ship of that ship way harder than the JP or the EN side did, somehow. They have really insanely talented artists.

Me too, but I (have rambled too long about fanfictions) have noticed that this Author tends to write really creative head canons that somehow add onto the pre existing characters instead of changing or morphing them. I'd love to hear your opinion on any fanfiction you do choose to read, even if it turns out these fanfictions are low quality pure slop, I want to read that essay rant too! No pressure.

Even bi/gay guys don't care about yaoi, they just see it as porn, it's dissapointing and gross. I admittedly don't like the NSFW art entirely (asexual btw) but there's the romance and genuine love and various dynamics and so many things than just a dick or two, their gaze is gross and they don't get it at all. It's what I was complaining about earlier... Komahina is a pretty gross ship and frankly, way out of character. If anything it's Hinakoma and the superior choice made by anyone with an enlightened brain is Kamukoma.
