music recommendations / my fav albums
Hello there, I'm a music lover myself and even tho the genres I listen to aren't really that much (because I always end up listening to indie rock again) i wanted to recommend 10 albums that i really liked
1. Is This It - The Strokes
An oomf of twitter that I got really attached to introduced me to the world of music, making me vary from slop tiktok famous songs that a depressed emo 13yr old would listen to and game osts to music made by bands that had a background and weren't just music designed to be commercial nor used for a game
The Strokes really saved rock in 2001 after all the nu metal scene, and Julian Casablancas really inspired other bands just like Arctic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand, or The Killers. Truly a legends.
2. Weezer (Blue Album) - Weezer
Nothing to say here, it was a big ass hit in its time and some songs are still famous on tiktok
3. Pinkerton - Weezer
I think this is the best album Weezer has, even tho its like a biography of Rivers' life. It has BANGERS, no skips, and I got really attached to this album due to the times when I heard it and how related I felt towards some of the lyrics. I think it was pioneer of emo in the end of 90's and start of 00s, tho..? Correct me if I'm wrong
4. ワールドイズユアーズ [World Is Yours] - Mass Of The Fermenting Dregs
A fucking gem of shoegaze oh god how I love shoegaze, the vocalist also has a really pretty voice. I also heavily recommend their homonymous EP, which has their best track of all their career (endroll), live in japan is also a really good album too

A midwest emo hidden gem only 15 min long I just discovered last night. Give it a try, please
