People would also realize that what was considered an acceptable rendering mode 10 years ago would be considered visually glitchy and unstable if it came out today. If TAA got deleted today and we went back to MSAA (does nothing in deferred rendering except turn your game into a slideshow) or FXAA (does nothing) people would complain more than they do with TAA today.

FXAA barely does anything. Most traditional AA methods barely do anything in the last 10-15 years of graphics.
