>Is a playable slasher movie too much to ask for?
Realistically how would these work? If it's a singleplayer game you've essentially just remade Clock Tower. Alien Isolation is the only thing I can think of to really bring up that you could maybe have it like. If it's a multiplayer game you're going to get a meta no matter what that removes aspects that are meant to retain the "spirit" of the series.
>F13 was more about trolling and chain stunning Jason than being scared of Jason.
>TED was more about heavily bumrushing objectives while splitting up and bullying the demon so it can't level up with a gun character always plinking everything for two-shot kills.
>TCM stopped being about being scared of the killers or hiding and instead revolves around door slamming, tackling the killers, running through hidey holes, and most people going different ways so the killers can't even manage them all. Bubba in particular isn't scary outside of the basement.
>Killer Klowns went from working on the generators to start up the nuke to straight up just running around the map turning everyone into cotton candy ASAP so they couldn't do anything.
>Carnival Hunt went from the Magician exploring floors and chasing down bunnies to now camping objectives, starting up every possible machine with keys so no one can progress, and tunneling someone to easily force them out early despite there being in-game downsides to doing that simply because it's so much easier to wait out their panic timer than chase someone else.

The best you can really hope for is what Hellraiser is doing pushes other big names like F13, Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, Chucky, even The Terrifier to make a game like it.
