There's no way they can do justice to Metal Gear Solid (1998) as a movie. They already fucked up remaking the original game twenty years ago with The Twin Snakes. I would only have some sort of faith in the project if Kojima himself were the director, but even then I would be sceptical he wouldn't "modernise it".
