Well, it is quite common to inherit 'the legacy' (and the business) here in Mexico. People don't really care much, being such a primitive and tribal society, for the mexican the blood bond is very important. The son will always be compared to the father and if he doesn't measure up he will be disowned.

Let's say that in Mexico they're first given the benefit of the doubt to prove that they are worthy heirs. I personally think the opposite and I believe that if you really want to honor your father and his name, you must first prove you're worthy by achieving respect and recognition by yourself with another name and with your own work so that you can then put on the father's mask and take his name.

However, many mediocre luchadores prefer the easy way, taking advantage from the beginning of what their father has already done before.
