ok I'll do more copying then
I'm running out of space in my current sketchbook, maybe next time I'll get one sketchbook for messing around and another one just for copies and focus more on that

my very rough idea of what I want to draw like is a mix of early shoujo manga and also mamoru nagano, because I think his fashion and early mecha designs are super cool. gothicmade doesn't do it for me though
I'm working on a visual novel so I also need to practice drawing landscapes and architecture which I've mostly neglected up until now
since I haven't done a visual novel before I'm not certain on what exactly I'd need for each character but at least a few static poses for the sprites and then more dynamic poses for cgs is probably a good starting point based on the vns I've played before
sometimes I feel like real life drawing can be easier than manga type stuff simply bc there are definitely references out there and they aren't as stylized for better or worse, picrel is a quick sketch I did from a pic of a person and despite it being quick and light I feel like it's miles better than most manga faces I've drawn
