Biggest issue is multiplayer games with anti-cheat, many of which don’t work on Linux (example: Battlefield 6 with secure boot and VBS requirements).
Immutable structure means you can’t manually update drivers, you must wait for a new build release. This can prevent playing new games at launch.
Troubleshooting is harder, some games require fixes or community help. FPS capture tools differ from Windows, making direct comparisons trickier.

Some titles lose up to ~40% FPS compared to Windows.
Games generally run smoothly but averages and 1% lows are worse.

Synthetic tests (3DMark) showed significantly lower scores on Linux.
Games like Cyberpunk 2077 ran fairly close to Windows, while others like Stalker 2 and Avatar showed big FPS drops and worse 1% lows.
At both 1080p and 1440p, Linux performance was consistently lower.
