I tried clean installing Windows 11 24H2 multiple times a couple of months ago on my PC. and I just cannot get it to work. 24H2 blue screens after a while for me, which is almost unfathomable to me. I have been clean installing Windows 7/10 and earlier versions of 11 for 10 fucking years now. I've done it several hundred times by now for myself and as a job, and I have NEVER had this happen. A BSOD from a fucking clean installation. Windows 11, and 24H2 in particular, are fucking trash. It's completely plagued by problems. Microsoft really needs to do something, because this is getting out of hand.

And that's why I'm not on 11. Gonna stay with 10 until 12 inevitably comes out. Hopefully Microsoft gets their heads out of their asses by then.

If you have your paging file set to dynamic the system will automatically take up as much space as it can if requested. I've had games request hundreds of GBs for RAM before causing the paging file to balloon. You should set it to no more than your amount of RAM or just turn it off.

This is true. Linux operating systems have a huge amount learning curve required, shit breaks sometimes, its just a hassle. But you are working towards something good, and the people behind your OS generally respect you. Windows and microsoft on the other hand are actively working against you at every turn and would love it in the future if you couldnt even have your own files saved to your own local drive, instead having to pay them to save everything to the cloud forever while they serve you ads every time you want to look at your own files. Okay Linux enthusiasts, I have to use stuff like _inmm.dll and winmm.dll to get Red Book CD Audio working in games like Age of Empires 1 and others which used it back in the day. Yes, I am aware of UPatch for AoE1 which has its own solution for this, but you can only play the Rise of Rome expansion with it, and I'd like to play vanilla, which I can currently do on Windows with the help of winmm.dll. Can you confirm that this also works on Linux? If so, I will very strongly consider making the switch. There are too many games I want to play that have Red Book Audio and need a workaround to get it playing in-game.
