Honestly, I realized something about romance in long-running media: the hints are much more engaging than the actual thing. Everyone, I think, has a different idea of actual romance, so it's impossible to make it interesting for everyone. With the hints, however, even very obvious ones, you can get really creative while also never quite overstepping the line. Also, I guess, it's kind of about how finality in romance cements the canon in some people's heads and it becomes harder for them to build their headcanons.

That's good, I was done with mine by 25 as well.

Can relate, I got my first "real" job around 25, and it paid OK, but otherwise was pretty miserable, to the point that I eventually quit and spent a couple years as a NEET. Getting started on anything is the hardest part, but it's likely that you'll eventually narrow it down to something you definitely like/can do well.
