Am I a retard for getting emotionally invested and hurt by this character? I find it genuinely heartbreaking that he left his mother without explaining his plans or saying goodbye, leaving her confused as to where her baby was going. He was treated like trash by the majority of people and most of his genuine and kind gestures were never reciprocated. I just want to hug him and give him a better life, or better yet, bring him back to his mom. Am I retarded?
