I don't know how they work it out, I assume they make agreements first as a professional team when it comes to splitting compensation. If we're talking about publicity cred it always goes to the artist because that's just what people see first. I experience this working in a duo. Naturally as the artist I take credit for everything for better or worse and there's just no way to avoid that. I don't know this question of who's cucking who just seems silly to me, as it seems more like something of a cup half full half empty situation. Publicity might sound lovely to some, but I would be much happier if I didn't have to deal with anyone at all. I just want to draw in my dark corner and not be bothered.
