I made a friend through /a/ and it ended in disaster, and it was largely my own fault. Honestly most of my online friendships have ended that way, it's kinda made me hesitant to become close to anyone now. It's like there's some intrinsic, malformed part of me that just causes me to be unable to have normal friendships. I wish that wasn't the case.
