>3.5-4MOA with a cold barrel
Strewth, a sub 35C low in the Nam would be like a cold day in hell
>pencil barrels whip like crazy
You don't have to tell me twice! My ELW jives me so hard at the range
>Menusars
I search Google images for those and am seeing nothing but Colt 723's and other midget AR-15's from the era. Where might I find a source on those chopped down A1's?

>Colt 605 fire selector
I remember in the 2010's searching for "DIAS" in Google images would bring up that one image of a four-way selector. It made select fire look like German space magic lmao
>developed by Foster Sturtevant in December 1966
Welp, at least it's in the same *decade* as MGS3 so not hilariously anachronistic as the original Black Ops
>the burst cam could be modified to two-round or six-round burst
Modified nothing! It looks like the two-round and six-round burst cams were in the Colt CAR-15 catalogue back when they were competing against the Stoner 63 in SALVO or whatever "next gen" weapon "systems" programme of the time

So it turns out that the burst fire ratchet for AR-15's had been around since the 1960's and there was even a cog wheel designed for two-round burst! The four-way selector on the XM16E1 as depicted in Metal Gear Solid 3 wasn't total horseshit after all
