Bigger focus on narrative that also adapts to how you play, how you've progressed and updates itself after runs.
Room structure where after you clear it you pick a randomized upgrade and path to take.
Focus on you always unlocking stuff, even when failing runs and short quests broken up over multiple runs for characters.
Etc.
After Hades, there were a lot of Hade-likes or games inspired by it. From Turtles games like TMNT: Splintered Fate (which is good) or a beat-em-up like Absolum. It's easy to spod a game inspired by Hades and there are a bunch of them.
