Technically true, but we do we have six universities with ROTC programs which offer active-duty, not reserve, commissions. VMI in particular is a pseudo-academy (the entire student body is in the ROTC) which has produced multiple members of the Joint Chiefs (two Marine commandants, one USAF Chief of Staff, and one Army Chief of Staff) including five-star general George Marshall.
