Personally I think the issue with newer 40k is that they simply do not get the visuals of it.
The only "newer" kits that hit the 40k looks have been GSC, everything else just feels off.
Reminds me of the Halo remaster it simply does not look like Halo, while the StarCraft Remaster understood it and still looks like what my SC look like and what kid eyes where looking in those tube screen, when remastering it.
