Hello /k/. A few years ago, I inherited three handguns from a drug-addict grandfather; a Colt Defender in .45, a Colt Mustang in .380, and a S&W SD9. Normally I think this would be a fine selection of handguns, but I've found them all to be uncomfortable to shoot due to having large hands and disliking striker triggers in the case of the S&W. I'm looking to trade/sell them for a full size SA or DA/SA pistol, in 9mm or .45 ACP.

What are some good options in the 800-1200 range, and what are some handguns to avoid?
