>You absolutely could give her other weapons though. Are you going for an old-money aesthetic here or fancy modern?
I'd say it's more in line with an "old money" type deal; modern day but with purposefully old timey stylings and aeshtetics to emulate a more "civilised age". The maid (and all the other maids) are all in victorian-esque getup with some minor exceptions that will help with combat (holsters, boots, shooting gloves etc.). In terms of weaponry right now all the combat maids get a Mauser C96 as a concealed sidearm under their dress
I just think the gun is cool I know it'd be shit for this kind of thing
which I feel definitely is pretty fancy and antique, so an exception in terms of antiquity could be made for their primary firearm.
>it's not really rich-person money, but Franchi SPAS-15 is pretty exotic, and it has detachable mags so she could reload it fast for fighting multiple intruders.
Interesting, never heard of it. It seems a little dinky and cheap but the noise it makes sounds pretty damn intimidating. I do like the shape of it though, would silouhette nicely against the frills and long dress. Could be a viable option!
>If it's a big place, with rooms much larger than a normal home, then she could be fighting at distances long enough where the shot would spread significantly, and then she could take out multiple attackers with one shot
Potentially yeah. She's going to be in a more central area of the mansion, so she'd likely be fighting in a mix of large hallways, living quarters and lobby/dining areas, so it sounds like it could be good for all those areas, right?
>That does introduce another problem though, if she has to clean up afterward it's probably not a good idea to be blasting a bunch of shot pellets everywhere
It's something she'll probably grumble and moan about but as long as it isn't too excessive I think it's acceptable levels of collateral.
