Ninjas are good enough to play but not good enough to climb to max rank without a ton of time investment+being really good at the game+really good at the deck+lucky.
If you're just chilling in Plat it's fine. And like he said it tends to be legal for most of the low powered events where it's actually good.

It's also fun.
