and larger rounds generally have more pressure and are faster and shoot straighter but that retard thought like having big bullets with small targets makes it harder to hit or something, it was a very confused argument.

I think the point he was making was it was a particularly good shot, but even if the shooter was on the roof (which would be uncommon for assassinations, usually the distant shooter is the patsy and the real killer is actually someone on security detail relatively close) the shot wasn't particularly difficult. You can train most people to hit a target at 200 yards with a hunting rifle in about a half hour at the range.
