I found a GD3 sport trim manual Fit near me for 900$ with 120,000 miles on it. No rust except a small patch rear quarter panel, needs an o2 sensor, and here’s the rub: the electric power steering is glitchy, the second the car is on, even with the wheels off the ground, the steering wheel turns all the way to the left.
He has replaced the rack, replace the eps module, and tried a pine 4 and 9 jump to reprogram things. These have not worked.
According to him the local honda dealer refuses to reset the torque sensor (the likely problem) from the new rack because they did not install it themselves.
Has anyone on /o/ dealt with this shit?
Is it as easy as just using a honda clone scanner to reset the torque sensor? Should i get a third rack and see if that does it?
It’s absolutely not an alignment issue.
I’m excited about the car and want to get it but I want to be sure there’s a fix first.
