One of the guys they reached out to was disgusted by it and leaked the emails so it's just one more of the dramas that game has.

Also because a lot of loli fans these days are just beaten wives that latch onto games with virtually no loli characters and fiercely defend their scraps. See games like Genshin, Honkai, ZZZ or Wuwa. They could just find games that actually appeal or pander to them but instead they stick to shit that doesn't pander to them for years and years while coping with their filler units and telling themselves it's fine.
