I tried it during late HW playing a PLD maleroe thinking I'd find a cute healslut EB there, didn't like it, then got lured back in with the "haha retirement home for fighting games players" bait during 5.1.
The only thing I wanted to do was high end content and getting achievements to feel better about myself because my only knowledge of MMOs came from Welcome to the NHK and I was pretty much like the protagonist back then
