I have one. New Colt 1911s have been a gamble in my experience. I’ve owned three and the Gold Cup has been very reliable where as the other two weren’t, and I sold them. The safety on mine was extremely stiff out of the box such that I couldn’t put it back on safe with my firing hand thumb, but it’s worn in now with a bunch of clicking on and off. Aside from that, it had a scratch in the finish on the frame, but it was sold as a blem, so I can’t complain. It’s a beautiful gun with a nice trigger and I got about $200 off because of it. I couldn’t tell you about mechanical accuracy really because I haven’t tested it for that but it shoots as expected lol.
