you can be high iq and poor but probability are that you won't stay poor for having high iq due to having ability to understand logical patterns which are very helpfull in managing with capital, unless you have other disabilites that blocks you to use your iq when you gather capital. Being poor don't comes because poor people are lazy and stupid but because they have more obstacles to past. Capitalism doesn't work because entites that are high on economic ladder are using their power to create rules to gather as much as they can without risking it on the same level than some startup company. There is no free market, that's why there is more and more disproportion between poor and rich ones. You have more poor ones and rich ones are more richer. The subject is more complex but this is only a small piece of how it looks like in modern world especially 'murica.
