Yea they were brought to bosses for the Speed Infusion like how Archers were brought for Sharp Eyes.
But Buccaneer was really fun because you could have 100% uptime on i-frames if you did it well so farming was engaging and fun compared to a Mage holding 1 button while falling asleep.
