Well, I do think that is part of it, some women do want more independence and probably don't want some weird broke ugly guy; but I am also talking about the overall economic situation not just for single women. Even men and women within ongoing relationships or married are having less sex and thus less children until much later even if they're sexually active. The previous graph I shared also shows that younger age groups not having kids (like teenage girls at 15-19) which some people don't view as a negative thing. There was after all an issue with unwed teenagers and single moms. There is an active choice to not have or avoid having children at a younger age even if they do have sex. Plus there are contraceptives, abortions and other things reduce the rate of kids, which is a choice to use for better or worse. Again, it really is up to society to decide if that is something worth addressing and to change. Of course, it's funny you got that meme flag on that screams "they owe me" like a typical brown incel
