Reimu is the face of the whole series, but she doesn't get much love here.
And despite not really being relevant to the canon, Momiji is surprisingly popular. If we were to measure popularity by the amount of posts on danbooru, then Momiji isn't that far behind Aya( Aya 30k posts, Momiji 25k) and is just slightly below Yuyuko, compare that to Hatate(8k) or other less popular characters.
Then again, /jp/ doesn't really appear to represent the broader Touhou fanbase all that well anyway.
It's kind of a shame that Hatate didn't get more popular though, she's a really interesting character.
