nah, in every game the camera prioritizes the higher character but there's a limit to how high it can go in the sprite based ones because they don't have art assets above a certain height, the main difference is just that the screen can zoom out way more in the older games, in Strive you can get high enough to make the ground character offscreen with a regular superjump so it happens constantly but in even Xrd where they zoomed the camera in a bit from XX it still mostly only happened in weird situations
