I'm a female to male trans person (FTM), but because I'm 4'11" I decided there wasn't any point in getting hormone treatments or surgeries since I'd never pass for a guy anyway.
Until last night I was dating a male to female (MTF) trans woman. I thought because of our shared hardship in being trans she'd validate and support my gender identity at least in private, but she just treats me like a woman. She even admitted she's only attracted to women and only ever entertained my male identity as a kindness. So I broke up with her.
She is claiming that she has rights to the cat we adopted and that she's going to take it with her when she moves out, and that unless I take her back I'll never get to see the cat again.
I filled out all the paperwork with the shelter when we adopted the cat so I feel like if the police were involved they would side with me, but I wanted to check if anyone had experience with pet custody in breakups and if there was any advice? She is not going to take care of this cat if she gets him, I always fed him and took care of him.
