Current doubling time is 14.5 years. If they add several trillion either by revaluing gold, or by expanding the Fed balance sheet, even if a one time hit, the move armageddon clock much closer.

The US Dollar has lost 12% of its value so far this year. There is a point where institutions will not want to hold dollars long term. Certainly the Saudis don't want to sell oil for dollars that one year later cannot even buy back the oil they were paid for. It would have been better for the Saudis to have kept the oil.
