The thing about Vegas that a lot of people dont seem to understand (especially people who belive that anyone who gambles is automatically a degenerate addict) is that besides being cheap it used to be fun. Gambling could be used to help get things for your trip even if you didn't win, casinos tended to have multiple ways to get "free" chips, it was pretty easy to get free drinks and food, low entry cost tournaments could get you a ton of perks etc etc. And now from what I understand thats mostly gone.
