I love OoT, and I’d rather play it than 99.9% of modern titles. If you’re a kiddo, you probably don’t get it, and that’s not your fault


Usually when zoomers ask about why most 80’s/90’s kids agree that OoT is a masterpiece, I try to compare it to a game that’s come out in their generation that is considered by them to be a masterpiece. It’s been a few decades, and the industry has copied/pasted its innovations millions of times to the point where, yeah, if you played it today having never played it before, it probably wouldn’t feel special.
Tears of the kingdom is the Gen Z zelda, I guess? I agree it’s a good game, but I guarantee you Gen A or B are going to be edgy little shits towards it in a decade, AFTER the industry has copied and spammed all the innovations that it made.
