Not at the moment. I guess there are a few things you can try:
Unlike the video games, space and distance matter, so write about that. Maybe a physical attacker has to figure out how to close the distance whereas the opposing special attacker is trying to snipe/do area denial. Trainer A would coach their Pokémon on how to approach, Trainer B would have to tell his Pokémon not to overexert.
You can also break the fight up with Trainers' thoughts, like:
>I'm sure he's going to use Ember
>It'll miss at this range, so as soon as he attacks we'll have a chance to use Growth
>"Tepig, Defense Curl!"
>Oh shit!
>"Snivy, Vine Whip!"
I dunno. Also, if there is a stretch of the fight where the combatants are just exchanging blows without doing much damage to each other, maybe you can condense it down into a single sentence, like "Wartortle and Quilava hopped around the field, trading bursts of water with blasts of fire."
