I've been writing a novel in my spare time for the past year or so. I'm always second guessing myself over whether my writing is good enough, going back to edit and sometimes rewrite entire chapters until I feel properly satisfied that I've done a good job that can stand up to the writers I admire.
Then I see utter teenage fanfic tier shite like this has been published by an actual major publishing house, has thousands of 5-star reviews and has been awarded multiple honours and I wonder if I shouldn't just put on some lipstick and a bad wig and have ChatGPT write my book.
