In the way it's used today? I guess the intent is to use it as a synonym for authoritarianism but it's applied to broadly it has lost all meaning. Enforcing laws that have been in place for a century is "fascist" these days.

In their minds they're "fighting the system from the inside." It's a typical crypto-commie mindset among privileged western people that express Marxist ideals that ultimately exist to destroy them. The fact that bourgeoise quite literally means middle class does not register as relevant. When called out they simply classify their own rhetoric as satire and/or sarcasm to get a free pass, unintentionally admitting that they do not have any faith in what they claim to believe.

If you make the mistake of calling them out on this they will immediately call you a fascist or corporatist (the latter only if they have the education to know that fascism has a specific definition) and immediately attempt to slander and harass you to the ends of the Earth.

Inevitably the best response is to do exactly what Gura does: Ignore it. Say nothing. Disappear for two weeks and act like you never saw it.
