The MA5C will be a better version of the Adjudicator with faster handling but poorer accuracy, maybe even more fire rate though I couldn't really tell from the trailer (its supposed to be 600). Because it uses the guncam there technically will not be any need for optics customization because it has THE ideal sight picture by default.

The most common armour you used to see Marines in, Mark VII Aquilla does have exposed cable weakspots on the stomach but it is in fact intended to be a two-piece cuirass with a plate protecting the lower torso. The weakspots are in-universe ones because Aquilla was thrown together post-Horus Heresy when everything was fucked and they just wanted to get the production going as soon as possible. Earlier armors as far back as Mark III are like this, where Mark III upper plate extends downwards to protect the stomach, restricting mobility, main reason why it was changed later on.
Of course this is Watsonian, but Doylist they also figured at some point it was retarded and explained it away. It has been inconsistently portrayed in the past, mostly because video-games such as Dawn of War and Space Marine decided to cover the stomach with mentioned soft protection because it was just so much simpler to animate.

Nah, the ODST pistol isn't weighed on its armor pen. In that game, it was absolutely dogshit at busting shields, but what it was excellent at was headshots. It was abundant in both spawn areas and ammo, so it was your very reliable sidearm through most of the game up until the finale where the Covenant Carbine actually spawned in good numbers.

The only bad choice here is the shotgun. I don't think anybody expected the SMG or pistol to be higher than light. What it comes down to now for those guns is damage numbers. Tthe ODST pistol needs to be the defacto pinpoint precision headshot machine like it was in its own game for it to be good, otherwise it's just a glorified Peacemaker.

With the potential design path the AR could go down here (medium pen, large cone spread), it might actually be far more suited for crowd dumping over single target killing. In fact, that's how I see it's gonna go, it's gonna be the bastard child between the Adjudicator and the Punisher. Maximum dakka for fucking up light chaff, and CAN kill medium pen targets through their armor, but only when they're up close due to the spread.

I was hoping for AP2 Pistol and SMG and AP3 AR and Shotgun. So that's 75% satisfaction. AP2 doesn't really fit the "fantasy" of the M90. If it does absurd damage at close range that'll be a nice compromise.

The Punisher already kills nearly every light enemy in the game in 1-3 shots depending on their size (excluding obvious shit like the Fleshmob), it has 10 more rounds in the tube, and it can be customized. And this weapon has been considered long outclassed by other shotguns.

The ONLY way they could logically make up for this on a light pen M90 is having the per-shot damage be complete overkill stupid, like 810 or some shit. You're doing 2x the damage in exchange for having 62.5% less ammo in the tube.

I've noticed that running a short distance behind some cover and pressing Z can be enough to completely throw off the enemies, especially if I'm wearing the scout armor. Being able to pick off the few enemies that did notice me without alerting the rest might make my hit and run tactics so much easier. I maxed out the variable after Control Group came out. I had a lot of fun with it you just had to get into position and hit precise shots in order to make use of it on its effective targets.
