You don’t even really NEED a dev kit for the switch 2. Mist switch 1 games, especially indies, just use the SDK on their website rather than a hardware based kit. Dev kits are extremely expensive, legally restrictive, and are normally only available to trusted partners in the early years of a console’s life cycle. I imagine Nintendo is being especially careful this time around for fear of software exploits being revealed.
