You could fit a lot of very mundane jumps into your chain. Maybe ten jumps that feature supernatural powers or advanced technology. Three jumps at most with powers that can be described as conceptual, or that offers a very easy way to gain enormous power very quickly. Take something on the level of universe-juggling cultivation or near-omnipotence right off the bat, and it's a one-jump chain.
